Rick is first and foremost a Saxophonist, but, you’ll usually find him playing a wide variety of instruments on stage. Born in Brooklyn, NY and schooled in Albuquerque, NM, Rick is the “Road Warrior” of any group, having worked in almost every state in the Union and all of western Canada. His extensive performance/recording credits include Whitesnake, Sam Butera/Keely Smith (Louie Prima), Bobby Keys (Rolling Stones), Mic Gillette (Tower Of Power/Sons Of Champlin/Cold Blood/Mic Gillette Band), David Vanacore (Cher, Vanacore Music [Survivor, Big Brother]), Shane Dwight, W Michael Lewis (Quicksilver Messenger Service/4 Preps), Jimmy Zavala (Rod Stewart/Eurythmics), Sal Valentino (Beau Brummels/Stoneground), Sha Na Na, Chubby Checker, Otis Day & The Knights, The Temptations, Barney Kessel, Cami Thompson, Ben E. King, Tim Barnes (Stoneground), Bo Diddley, Louie Bellson, Ornette Coleman, Anthony Braxton, Steel Breeze, Harvey Mandel (Canned Heat), Al Hurricane, Larry Knechtel (Bread/Doors), Jimmy Smith, (Leon "Pops" Hughes') Coasters, Sonny Geraci (The Outsiders/Climax), Little Richard and Little Anthony & The Imperials, while his many top-notch bands over the years have worked with numerous entertainment notables including Johnny Cash, Tower Of Power, Taj Mahal, Eddie Money, David LaFlamme (It’s A Beautiful Day), Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Bob Marley’s Wailers, David Allen Coe and Bad Co. He’s also one the few woodwind players to utilize the Wind Synthesizer to it’s full extent!
