April 2010 update!

Unfortunately, our engine blew up last year on the way to BRC and we were unable to get the ship to the playa.

We’ve replaced the engine and we’re gearing up for the return of our beloved vessel.

Once again, the U.S.S. Nevada is undergoing more changes designed to enhance it’s continued mutation into a pirate ship.

We plan to cover the remaining parts of the base vehicle so it won’t be seen anymore!

We strive every year to further develop the experience we share with our fellow BRC citizens!

5/20/10 update!

Below you’ll see 2 photoshopped images (front & side view) of our plans to obfuscate the base vehicle of the ship!

We’ll be attaching a material for the simulated wood planking that we’ll only be able to see through from the inside, but, not from the outside, to cover the exposed areas of the base vehicle.

The simulated waves over the “planking” will be built on a frame attached to the vehicle and made of a non-MOOP generating foam that’ll be painted to look like crashing waves breaking over the ship!

This foam was recommended to us by other Mutant Vehicle owners that have used it with great success on the playa!

We hope that with these extensive changes, the Hotties at BRC DMV will reconsider our application to bring the fabulous USS Nevada back to the playa to be the amazing show piece it’s been since 2001!

We truly look forward to once again serving as a part of the Un-Official Public Transportation System of Black Rock City as we’ve done so ably in the past!

6/1/10 update!

The USS Nevada has received an invitation to the playa!

BRC DMV has informed me that the changes we proposed have been deemed as acceptable!!
