Garratt Wilkin And The Parrotheads
Acknowledged as one of the premier Jimmy Buffett tributes in the nation, this is an amazing group of musicians from the Placerville/Sacramento, CA area that I've been performing with over the last few years.....!
Fins Up!!!
Here's a related link to a transcript of a radio interview with Mick Martin (in which I get a mention).....It reviews "Blues All Night", one of the great CD's in the "BluesRockers" catalog.....
Louis Prima’s legendary saxophonist Sam Butera (1927-2009 ) passed away at about 6am on June 3rd, 2009 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where he had been since early January 2009 suffering from the effects of Alzheimer's Disease.
Besides having been a personal friend and one of my all-time idols,
Louis Prima's legendary sideman was renowned as one of the most impeccable players of the Tenor Sax of this or any other musical era. With his distinctive sax playing and his powerful vocals, he'd thrilled millions via performances from Las Vegas’ major showrooms, to the Copacabana in New York City.
One of the biggest highlights of my career was to sit-in with him and The Wildest
many times at the legendary Sands Casino Show Lounge in Las Vegas
and at Resorts International in Atlantic City where I first met him in 1982!
I recorded a CD ("Rock & Roll Dance Party") with these guys a few years ago (before Chico passed).
They're still Rockin'.....check it out!
Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers
This is a great group to record & perform with...I’m on a bunch of their CD’s! The lead singer/harp player (Mick Martin) performed at Carnegie Hall with (B3 organ legend) Jimmy Smith!

Here’s a Tower Of Power tribute band that’s finally getting some of the recognition they deserve. I’ve had the pleasure of performing with some of these musicians, (Billy, Matt, Paul), in a couple of different bands (Mic Gillette Band, Highway 61). They play some of the coolest horn driven music with a distinctive style that stands out from the rest!
